- A dedicated group of library users who support the Ballston Spa Public Library by promoting and enhancing library services
- Volunteers who accept no payment other than the satisfaction of having helped out their library
- A group that meets the third Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Ballston Spa Public Library
What We've Done
- Hosted an extremely successful Read it! Draw It! contest for children aged 4-12
- Started a book discussion group for adults.
- Started a writer's group for adults
- held a Spring basket raffle that raised $170 for the library
- Sponsored children's' programs on shells and cartooning
- Showed our appreciation to the library staff during National Library Week
- Held a bedtime story hour with principal Brian McKenna
- Arranged a World Book drive that raised over $400 toward the purchase of library materials.
What We're Working On
- New video shelves
- Acquiring a newspaper rack
- Analyzing the use of space in the library
- Informing the homebound of how to get library materials delivered to their homes
- Genealogy seminar for beginners
- Teepee program for children
- Filling the display case
- Fall fundraiser
